7 riders assembled at the Red Lion in the ongoing warm sunshine for a gentle ride of almost exactly 25 miles with coffee and cake (multiple cake in some cases) at Oaks Farm Shop at Balsall Common.
The route was an almost exact reverse of the Sunday ride the Captain led back in May - I say almost exact as a) the coffee venue was different, and b) an error in navigation (and identifying a lane) added a loop through downtown Balsall Common and back to the coffee stop off the Warwick Road.
Back via Chadwick End, Packwood and Hockley Heath in rather hotter conditions than on departure - a couple of riders left the group for home in the last couple of miles.
Most enjoyable ... and before anyone comments with "Fake News" the Captain was only under power for the climb up to the Punchbowl - the remainder of the ride was all his own legs.
