First ride for two weeks for many of the assembled peleton. The route went to Alvechurch up Viaduct Lane and then Coopers Hill.
Regroup foe the descent to the rarely-used Hollow Tree Lane then up Pikes Pool alongside the 1in37 Lickey Incline for 11s and trainspotting.
On then to Upper Gambolds and another rarely-used Black Lake Lane. Down the Thrift to Lower Bentley then Berrow Hill lane to Feckenham. Up the muddy Dark Lane to Astwood Bank. Finally a lovely descent to Sambourne and thence to The Little Lark at Studley.
Only just over 40 miles but 2211 feet upwards. Bike was filthy.
