Inspite or the gloomy forecast I set of in sunshine to the north east towards Shustoke, stopping briefly at Berkswell for 11's, then over the A45 at Pickford Green, crossing Corely Moor, down a treacherous Newtown road with ankle deep mud across the centre and then along a litter strewn Daw Mill Lane (thanks to some fly tipping scum) to the Griffin.
A cheese cob and a sample of several exquisite ales consumed in pleasant sunshine eased the journey home into an incessant headwind through Meriden to the Ale Rooms in Knowle and a quick pint and home before the rain at 16.00. 45 miles for me
