Last Wednesday, 3rd April, the ‘Regular’ group met at the car park by the river in Pershore for the first car assist ride of the year. There were 12 of us, then at Childswickham we were joined by new member Chris. The original captain was unable to join us (except for lunch), so Clive led us on a most delightful route through the Cotswold countryside. The blossom, stunning views and sunshine made it a fabulous ride to the lunch stop at The Shutters in Gotherington. We were also joined by our two injured members, both very brave and cheerful.
Whilst we were inside, the sky darkened and the rain fell. It was not so pleasant on our return ride with some hail, a closed road and detour led by Nigel, some snow at the side of the road and it was cold!
