Mike and I set off from a bar warmed by a log fire into a sustained heavy drizzle, gloomy dark clouds all around. The auspices did not look good but undeterred we set off. 20 mins. later the rain had stopped and things looked much better.
Usual route: Aspley Heath, Ford Hall Lane, Ullenhall, Church Lane, White Pits Lane, Danzey Green, Pig Trot, Tapster Valley and Kingswood. By this time the skies had cleared a low red winter sun was throwing a beautiful light across the fields. Back via Dorridge and, resisting the temptation to stop for a coffee at Wedges, Cheswick Green and back to Earlswood ... It's always worth the effort (but maybe we should have had a coffee).
