Eleven drove to Upton Upon Severn for the car assisted ride to Newent. Having paused for a team photo, all in our new club Gilets, we set off. 11`s was by the river at Ashleworth Quay. With the morning mist lifting the views improved as we breezed through the villages of Hartpury and Kents Green to a early lunch at the George Hotel in Newent. The beer and food were good but the service a bit slow. The ride in the afternoon was in decent sunshine as we climbed up Midsummer Hill and more good views as we descended over Castlemorton Common and on to a final coffee stop back in Upton. 42 miles for er...everyone
