Yesterday's F&F ride lived up to it's billing with six riders turning up for the 90 miler to Tewkesbury averaging 14.6 mph.
Pete, Tim, Jon T and I were joined by new member Graham E and for the first time, Jon P. The nagging, cold, westerly wind hampered progress on the way out via Himbleton, Defford and Upper Strencham.
Pete had yet another front wheel flat (his third in a week) and has now decided to throw away the offending Schwalbe Lugano tyre. Having had a bad experience with the Lugano myself, I certainly won't be tempted again by it's cheap price.
Lunch was at the busy Royal Hop Pole. Bredon, Pershore and Inkberrow providing the energy sapping miles on the way back and occasionally that pesky westerly. I for one was mightily relieved when the Coach and Horses came in to view and longest ride of the year so far was over!
