Sat 4th May - Capt Alan

Six of us left Earlswood on a cool windy day going via Weatheroak, the Lickeys, Bell Heath and Belbroughton on the way to Rowberrys garden center at Chaddersley Corbett. It's not possible to grill or toast anything there after 15:30 there but the bara brith was good and provided sufficient calories to propel us to the next stop. After some diligent map consultation during the coffee stop, Alan took an unexpected turn south leading us via Cakebole, Timberhonger and Aston Fields to the next stop, selected by popular demand, the excellent Cross Inn at Finstall where we enjoyed Sadlers Peaky Blinders and various Black Country ales. After a quick blast up the Lickey Incline we found ourselves in the Coach & Horses enjoying the best Old Hooky for many a ride plus cheesy chips. 50 miles.
