Wednesday October 18th Capt. Phil

Wednesday saw 12 riders brave the forecast for a ride along pleasant country lanes to Harvington nr Evesham!
With the Captain (me) not concentrating we immediately went on an unnecessary loop below the Earlswood dam before heading south through Tanworth, Ullenhall and Studley. A slightly late departure (phoning through lunch orders to The Golden Cross) meant that we didn't quite make Sambourne for 11's, and with Stratford Bob needing sustenance we pulled into one of Stratford's riverside car parks (at least on a bike you don't need to pay!!)
Refreshed, we carried on, up the nasty climb at New End, past the 'Archers' Old Bull pub at Inkberrow and onto the triple bumps through the Lenches! Everyone looking forward to prompt service at the pub, but unfortunately that didn't turn out to be the case!! Luckily it did mean that we missed the rain.
Hence, a later than planned departure back through Bidford and Ardens Grafton and back to Earlswood in a steady, cooling mizzle!!
50 miles for me - and slightly late in picking Lorraine up from work 😮 !!
