Six of us turned up in our best summer gear (with maybe the odd arm warmer or two) for the afternoon ride to Astley book shop and café. The route took us via Barston, Pinkett's Booth, and Corley Ash. The toaster was still working so after suitable refreshments, teacakes and a large piece of cake for some we headed off home on a beautiful autumn evening via Fillongley, Butler's End, Meriden to Knowle where we paused (well stopped really) to sample the delights of the Ale House. 52 miles for me.
